A belated post on what we did for Christmas n in dec..

We brought Adric to Tabglin mall for 'snow'..

Adric loved it! And I made a mental note to take Adric to a snowy holiday soon! 

On Christmas Eve, we went to uncle Terrance's house for a Xmas party.. Adric had fun playing with Natalie - they were so cute together.. Here's a photo of Adric helping Natalie to clean her mouth..

On Xmas day, we drove to KL for a short getaway.. Because Adric has been saying he wants to go hotel! The drive was quite a test of Adric's patience, given his active nature.. But he was cooperative and as well behaved as he can be, so we reached KL safely and before dusk. Upon reaching the hotel car park, Adric suddenly sat up and gave a mischievous grin and said 'time for Adric to wake up!' Like he was all ready to tear KL down.. K and I burst out laughing.. This little boy sure knows how to make mummy and daddy laugh! Think he's got daddy's sense of humor!

We celebrated my birthday in KL and Adric sang a full birthday song for me!

Anyway, most of the other dec weekends were spent furniture shopping.. We brought Adric to IMM, n he had fun at the water park, amidst all the furniture shopping!

At grandma's and school

How time flies, it's the eve of the eve of cny already! The reno for our new house is not done yet (it's taking forever!), and we have already moved out of our old place.. It is now the home of our tenants.. So we will be staying at Grandma's for cny!

The moving was bittersweet.. We are excited to be moving to our new place but at the same time, sad to be moving out of LC, it was me and K's first home together, n Adric's first home.. Adric loves the place.. He would always say he wants to 'Go home to LC' and when we r home, he would say 'welcome to LC!' excitedly! I was abit worried at first that he would be very upset about the move, but we explained it to him a few times, and brought him around the house to say goodbye to every room - now he is cool I think, although he occasionally still says he wants to go home to LC, but I would remind him we have already said bye bye.. He seems to accept it now.. Phew..

Anyway here are some random photos of Adric at Grandma's..

Adric's favorites are Thomas and jigsaw puzzles now.. He knows number 1 to 10 trains by heart, n he can fit a 48 piece puzzle by himself! 

 Another of Adric's fav activity.. Chasing birds.. N he is quite good at it! There were a few times I thought he was really gonna catch one!

Adric's preschool organized a trip to Clementi fire station 2 weekends ago - since then our conversations with Adric has been a lot about emergency vehicles - fire engine, ambulance, and resuscitation.. Adric would pretend that one of his soft toys have fainted, and the ambulance will come and revive the soft toy!

 Today is CNY celebration at Adric's school, so he is dressed in traditional costume, and brought 2 oranges to school to exchange w his friends. They will also be having a steamboat lunch at school! This morning when we dropped Adric off at school, he was really happy and cheerful, one of his classmates came out to give him a hug, and he danced his way into class! It was a wonderful feeling to see Adric enjoying school and developing friendships! Looks like the days of him crying when we drop him off at school are over finally! I hope.. Hee

What has Adric been up to?

It's been a month since my last post.. A busy month! So let's catch up on what Adric has been up to..

There was his school's year end performance - Adric's first performance ever! 

This is the finale shot.. Adric's the first one on the right.. The playgroup little ones acted as teddy bears.. During the actual performance, Adric had to be carried on stage by his teacher.. So Daddy and I were really happy to see him independently standing on stage during the finale!

Me and my cute little teddy bear!! Adric, I think u did great! Considering that u only joined the sch a month before the performance! Mummy was beeming with pride fr the audience!!

Nowadays, Adric would always 'perform' for us at home, and he loves to watch the video of his performance.. I think he is looking forward to next year's concert!

After the concert, we went straight to the airport for our flight to Bkk! K and I wanted to get new house deco items, so we took the opportunity to bring everyone - including Adric, grandpa and grandma, for a short holiday!

Adric is getting to be quite a seasoned traveller.. He totally enjoyed the flight, as u can see from the photos.. This is the first time he had a seat all to himself (previously his seat was the bassinet), and I think he likes it!

I realize most of the Bkk photos are taken w the camera, and I don't have the photos w me now, so I'll blog abt it another time (if I ever get to it.. Hee)

2 weekends ago, we bought a little cake and a present to Aunty Joyce's house to celebrate Chloe's birthday..

When Adric saw the photo above in my phone, he said 'You like Kayley' ( 'you' actually means 'I') and gave a big smile and a small blush, it was soooo cute! A pity the moment passed to fast for me to whip out my hp for a photo.. I thought it was so cute that Adric found his first 'love' at a young age of 2! But then the next day, Adric saw his JG class photo, pointed to his classmate and said 'You like Clara!'.. Quite the Casanova this one.. Oh and I also concluded that Adric likes chubby girls!

Weekend Flash - 7th to 9th Nov 14

The weekend started early for K and me.. It was K's birthday so we took half day off to have a small celebration - just the 2 of us.. We seldom go out without Adric so it felt really good, just like old times.. We had lunch at Majestic Bay Seafood Restaurant at gardens by the bay, then coffee at MBS..

Then we went to collect the keys to our new place! Yay! Best birthday present ever for K! Though it's technically not a present cos he paid for his share.. But he was so happy that he said I don't have to get him anything cos nothing I buy will make him happier, so I need not waste my money.. I'm not arguing with that! Haha

We will be so busy with reno and moving the next few weeks, and we'll be gg Bkk this weekend to shop for household stuff! Soooo excited!!! 😄😄😄 ok more abt those in the next posts.. 

For now, we'll focus on last weekend.. On Saturday, we went to Cafe Melba after bb's JG class.. Good food, a bouncing castle and pebbles with a pool of water.. Adric was a happy boy!

In the evening, we went to church with Yeeyee and aunty Jingting - Adric's first visit to a church! He liked it more than I expected, but of course he didn't last through the whole session.. We ended up at a nearby coffee shop having lobster porridge, while waiting for yeeyee.. The lobster porridge was really yummy! - so yummy that I totally forgot abt taking photos! But no worries, we'll definitely be gg there again!

On Sunday we went for Shichida then brought Adric to our new house for a swim.. Among all these activities, K and I also made some time to meet up w some designers to talk about the design of our new home.. All in all it was a busy weekend, but very fulfilling! 

Next week will be a very eventful week too! There bb's first performance ever in his school's year end concert, then we r gg to Bkk! So looking fwd!!

First day at preschool!

Adric started preschool on13th Oct 2014, when he's 2 years old.. Before this, he's been for Shichida and Julia Gabriel class, but both were accompanied by Mummy/Daddy/Grandpa.. This time he'll be alone for the first time!! 

This is him, preparing for first day at school, still not knowing what he's in for! I asked him to 'pose' and 'smile'..

 

The first 2 days were smooth sailing.. Mainly because there was Mummy accompanying Adric! The 3rd day was abit choppy - Daddy accompanied Adric to school, but Adric refuse to go into the classroom, only wanted to play at the playground..

The forth day onwards was one scary nightmare for Adric, he cried and cried and cried until his eyes were swollen and voices was hoarse.. *crack* - that was mummy's heart breaking.. 😥

It's 2 weeks now, and Adric is still crying..  He would come home to say 'don't like school, don't like mummy go work'.. 'Home mummy' is all he wants! Sobz.. Should I withdraw him fr sch? 

Happy 2, my little sunshine!

Adric baby, my little sunshine! This weekend we'll be celebrating your 2nd birthday! That's 2 years of joy, love and laughter you have brought to our family! When I first laid eyes on you 2 years ago at the operating theatre, I immediately knew I loved you so much.. My first thought was that you are a more perfect version of the perfect image I had of you while I was pregnant! I dunno how that's possible but you somehow managed to exceed all expectations!

Since then, you have turned my life upside down, in all possible ways, but the love and joy of having you in our lives is something i won't trade the world for! Over the past 2 years, we got to know you as you learnt to express yourself more and more, and you have showed us that you are a happy, generous, cheeky little boy who loves interacting w people.. You have the ability to draw people to you, and spread your joy around - it is evident from the many strangers who come up to us to play w you whenever we bring you out! You are also always so curious of your surroundings - you surprised us all at 9 months old when you could identify things around you. When we said 'clock', you looked at the wall where the clock is, when we said 'button' you turned to look at our clothes.. At 20 months, you already knew A to Z, 1-30, colors, shapes, names of birds, country flags, and so many other things! Actually mummy secretly thinks you are a genius! Haha..

Anyway, what's amazing about you is not  what you know, but who you are! I love it that you always like to play w people - you will always pull daddy and mummy and say 'follow me' so we would play with you. I love it that you always know what you want - your fav color is red, your fav song is the 'bus song', your fav storybook is 'goldilocks', your fav mode of transport is train! I love it that you are so cheeky.. When mummy asks you not to drop something, you would make fun of me by pretending to drop it and say 'oops!'.. 

This weekend we'll be bringing you to Thomas land.. Your fav toy character! I'm sure we'll have lots of fun, as we always do w you around..

Daddy and mummy wish you a happy happy birthday, and abundance of love and joy.. Remember that you are safe and you are loved, always and forever! Daddy and mummy loves you to the moon and back!

Weekend flash - 30/31st Aug 14

On Saturday we went to Poison Ivy cafe at Bollywood veggies for lunch.. Love the rural feel and healthy food there!

In the evening we met up w Gong Gong for dinner.. It was actually Adric's idea! He misses Gong Gong.. :)

On Sunday, we went for baby Olivia's full month party.. No photos there cos daddy and mummy were bz eating haha.. Just this photo showing how tired Adric is after the party.. He was bz playing with the lift/chair/anything he can get his hands on during the party.. Hee..

At night, Adric made pizza!
